Here is a strange thing. Biscuit and Smudge rarely sick up hairballs onto the carpet. Instead, they cough them up, then swallow them again like a tasty snack. I don't mind, seeing as that means I don't have to clean them up, but it is rather gross.
Anyway. This evening Louise and I took a trip to the laundrette courtesy of our packed up washing machine. Now ALL THE CLOTHES and ALL THE BEDDING is clean and mostly dry. While we were there the clouds burst, so we got a taxi home.
If I were to say that was the most interesting thing that I've done lately, for once I would be lying. Tom and I went to London to see Spamalot on Wednesday and it was WELL GOOD.
I don't feel very descriptive or creative this evening.
Seeing as I seem to have hit a brick wall where career development is concerned, I thought I'd make a list of jobs I wouldn't mind doing. I'm not leaving my job, just speculation really.
- Accountant
- Teacher
- Software developer
- Admin person
- Writer
- Copy editor
- Interior designer
- Structural engineer
- Lecturer
- General clever person and knower of things
- Question setter for telly quizzes
See, I would LIKE to do all those things, but have not the ability or the qualifications. You may notice that very few of those things require much working with other people at all. Not that I'm BAD at working with other people, I'm just quite solitary by nature. I'd also be very open to a different department/position in my current place of work. We'll see.
Smudge is hairballing now. Still no mess no matter how loud he coughs.
