Well, I have a little bit.
One Big Change.
I got a new job! It's still in IKEA, but not in the Restaurant anymore.
I'm now the Sustainability Responsible for our store, which means I get to do all kinds of cool stuff like take school kids on tours of our store, go to assemblies, decide what to spend some money on in the community, do some recycling (well, get other people to do some recycling), and SO MUCH MORE. And I have a desk that I sit at which is all very grown up and proper. I get to have a cup of tea at my desk sometimes, and I don't have to work weekends anymore.
Yaaaay! It's pretty much what I wanted to do since uni. I do believe my "about me" section of this blog says I wanted to go into Corporate Social Responsibility, and that's pretty much what it is. The only downside is that it's only a temporary job until November, then I might have to go back to the Restaurant. I do miss them lot, but I don't miss being on a till or having to serve customers. Now I have a lot of freedom over my own time and what I do, that I didn't get in the Restaurant. Going for a meal with them all tomorrow which will be very nice.
The nice thing about my new job, aside from all the things I already said, is that I'm not stressed anymore. To the point that people have commented on how fresh I look now. I'm less tired, and I have a routine, so I can actually DO things outside of work now without being that weary, boring person that I mentioned being in a previous blog. Mornings are difficult cause I get up at six thirty every day, but I'll get used to it. Once I'm awake and had a shower and a berocca I'm okay.
My only worry is that I've already gained a couple of pounds, after I lost all that weight before! Gonna have to start hitting the gym I think. I want to start going before work cause they gym opens at 7 and I start work at 8, so I could have a half hour gym session before work each day. Dunno how realistic that is though, I am still quite a lazy person especially when I comes to mornings! Would be nice to go swimming after work sometimes as well. I like swimming, but not the part where you have to get out of the pool and get dried and dressed, cause no matter how much I think I've dried myself I still feel kinda sticky. And MY HAIR! It's always a big bad mess after swimming, and the hair dryers in the changing rooms are always like someone is just breathing a bit heavy at you. So I have to be quite strategic about when I go swimming. Yoga would also be a nice thing to do. With the Quays you can get a membership where you can go to the gym, swimming, and the classes. Think I'd like to do that as long as I can promise myself to stop being such a lazybones.
I need to really, else I'm gonna stop fitting in my clothes again!
In other news, the boys are very moulty lately.
