I just used the Footprint Calculator, and if everyone in the world lived like me then we'd need 2.4 planet earths.
This distresses me, I thought I was at least a little bit environmentally friendly. I don't drive, I don't eat meat, I recycle, I turn stuff off when I'm not using it, I only buy wood and paper from sustainable sources. Imagine all the people that don't do those things, how many earths they must need. Well anyway, in light of this I have decided to start doing more. I want to try and source more of my food locally. I shop at Asda and Tesco right now, but I'm going to explore other sources instead. There's no need for much of our food to spend days in lorries and I'm going to try to stop being part of that.
I also want to start making less car journeys. Though they're shared journeys, as in me in someone else's car, I still think we could make many of them by foot, we're just far too lazy. You never know, it might help my figure too...
If we could afford to, I'd like to have a green energy tariff, but we can barely afford the bills as it is so that's a no no for now, it's definately an option for the future though.
Inevitably, there's only so much I can do living in a rented flat. I can't have solar panels even if I could afford it, and I can't grow much of my own food, though I do try. I guess I'll just have to do what I can.
Go on, check it out.

Something has been annoying me. That song called "Price Tag" by Jessie J...
This is the chorus:
It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.
Ain't about the (ha) Ka-Ching Ka-Ching.
Aint about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.
