things that you put off for ages that are actually really quick and easy

For ages, my sewing machine has been broken. One of the little clips that holds the bobbin case holder thingy in place has snapped. For literal years I have been meaning to call the people and get them to send me a new one, but I have been putting it off.

I just called the man.

It took five minutes, he's getting one sent out to me tomorrow.

EASY. And I put it off for all that time?! I've been without a sewing machine since I lived in my old house because I was too lazy to make a five minute phonecall. It was even a freephone number.

People do things like this all the time. I do it all the time. Put it off and off and off, when really it's so easy! I'm going to try and stop it.

Here is a list of things I need to do:
- change internet service providers
- talk to the council about tax and getting a new bin
- clean my laptop
- dust the shelf under the coffee table
- text my dad my graduation dates
- move a single sock from the living room to the wash basket
- clean out the fish tank again and put some fish in it
- spray the flat with flea killing spray
- wash the kitchen floor
- contact pest control about the rats in the roof
- find a birthday present for my nan
- find a notebok suitable for lists
- buy some new mascara
- fix all the clothes on my sewing pile
- write 200 words about a recent visit
- book off my graduation
- write out some birthday cards
- post a letter

I wonder if I can get all these small tasks done by the end of the week. I sure hope so!
