This is going to be a good week. One of my bestest friends Beckoi is in Southampton, and we're having a sleepover tonight. Yayyy! Then Weez and I are going to London tomorrow to go to the Natural History Museum. Then on Wednesday I may be going to the Hobbit and Dungeon for a bit. THEN on Thursday I'm seeing my old pal Dominic, and I think we're going to watch My Little Pony (he's a bit of a brony I think). Friday evening I think I'll have a sleep.
Excite! I like doing things, seeing people.
Last week was pretty good too. Last night Louise and I made tirimsu, which may have made me a bit sicky cause it had VERY STRONG coffee in it, and I am caffeine intolerant. Worth it though, it was delicious. We also ate salmon and olives and crackers. yum yum yum! It's our tertial at work next sunday, but I think the sunday after we're going to make white chocoate and peanut butter cookies.
I like it when Southampton is mentioned on the telly.
Anyway, we came second at pub quiz last monday. I know I've posted since that, but I've been posting gloomy posts lately, which I don't much like. I hate being a gloom.
Yep, a Gloom. |
I have lost 5 pounds of weight this week, purele by taking healthy food into work and not eating the food there. I slipped into a bad habit of eating three big meals a day, and then snacking. I'd eat significantly on both my breaks, then eat a dinner in the evening too, which I suppose is one of the reasons I got fat in the first place. Now, I eat a healthy snack like ryvita or ricecakes and a banana on my 20 minute break, and I bring in leftovers from the previous night's dinner for my 45 minute break. And that's all I eat at work. No cakes, no chocolate. I just don't want it because the food I am eating is making me feel satisfied, because it's the right food. Having regular shifts is helping a lot too, because it means I have my breaks at similar times each day, and I can get into a routine with my food. I'll be devastated if I have to stop having those shifts, even though they are all earlies.
Regular shifts are awesome. I can plan stuff in advance, and that's super useful. When people ask me when I'm not working, instead of consulting my lengthy and varied shifts for the next 4 weeks, I can simple say "mondays and tuesdays and every day after 4". BAM. Plans can be made. This is probably one of the reasons my social life has improved over the past couple of weeks. I've realised I can do this. As long as I don't get drunk or stay up past midnight, I tend to be fine.
Oh yeah, I posted my first ever item for sale on Etsy. I don't quite know how to get people to buy my stuff, but I'm gonna wait till I have more things on there before I advertise my shop about the place. Here it is for now: my shop. Only one thing there, but I am working on cutting up millions of squares of fabric to make patchwork cushions! I have a cutting mat and a rotary cutter, which is infinately easier than using scissors, which was taking ages and giving me blisters.
Right, I've said shitloads. Gonna top now.
One last thing.
I have over 1000 views on this blog now! Thanks everyone!
Oooooh shop :D
