Twilight

Here's my conspiracy theory:

Twilight is so shit no one would ever like it of their own accord. Therefore, the people who do claim to like it are either paid A LOT of money or brainwashed to do so (I'd go with the brainwashing). This is part of a social experiment, whereby they keep releasing Twilight movies to see how long it takes for society to break down as a result.

Makes perfect sense to me.
